It’s now even easier to bid

You can now bid on MLB Auctions using your mobile phone. Just activate Bid by SMS on your account, and you can bid by simply sending a text message:

1. Look for the Bid by SMS Reference ID on select MLB Auctions:

   

2. Send your bid to the MLB Auctions number in the following format:

   Reference ID;Your Bid
   (That’s the reference id and your bid, separated by a semicolon)

   For instance, to bid $100 on an auction with Reference ID MLB1000, your message should read:

   MLB1000;100

3. Alternatively, locate the BID NOW WITH SMS button on your mobile device:

   

   • By tapping this button, an SMS window will open on your mobile device addressed to the MLB Auctions number.

   • For your convenience, the message will be pre-populated with the auction Reference ID and the next available bid amount.

   • You can change your bid to a higher amount if you wish.

   • Once the message is sent, your bid will be active!
